David A Clark

Dr Clark was born in Brisbane and trained in surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in December 1999/ January 2000. Further training in colorectal surgery was undertaken in the United Kingdom in Gloucester, Cheltenham, London, and the prestigious Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Whilst in Edinburgh, he undertook further examinations and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburgh in January 2002.

Subspecialty training has included colorectal cancer, laparoscopic surgery, incontinence surgery and investigations, defaecatory disorders, rectal prolapse, and a substantial component of emergency surgery: appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, laparotomy, and assessment of the acute abdomen.

Dr Clark is also a keen sportsman and regularly participates in half marathons and triathlons.
